This rarely performed opera by Bert Brecht and Paul Dessau sets the agenda in November, Gerhard Siegel will appear as LUKULLUS at the Stuttgart State Opera. The premiere is on November 1st 2021.
After 4 performances in the past 19 months, there is a restart. I have to thank many of my colleagues who gave consolation and confidence in hundreds of conversations and prevented me from giving up the job.

On April 20, Gerhard Siegel will be hosting the Easter benefit gala "Siegel & Friends" at the Augsburg Theater. In an interview with German broadcasting station BR-Klassik, the tenor now tells how the idea for the concertante event came developed, what unites him with Augsburg and how he was able to acquire the top-class cast for the performance of Wagner's "Walküre". The interview which was held in German is now available in the media library of the Bavarian Radio.
On April 20, 2019 Gerhard Siegel invites to the gala event "Siegel & Friends". In cooperation with the Staatstheater Augsburg, a unique concert performance of Richard Wagner's "Walküre" will be brought to the stage. The unique performance will take place in favor of the renovation of the Staatstheater Augsburg. For this reason, all artists donate their fees for the theater. Contributors include Irene Theorin, Jennifer Holloway, KS Walter Fink Yamina Mamaar, Sally du Randt und Johan Reuter.
Gerhard Siegel has been invited to the Metropolitan Opera in New York. In seven performances during December 2017 and January 2018, he will sing the part of the Witch in Humperdinck's "Hänsel und Gretel". The opera is conducted by Donald Runnicles.

Gerhard Siegel will sing in the new Elbphilharmonie in November 2017: He will perform Detlev Glanert's "Requiem für Hieronymus Bosch" with the Symphoniker Hamburg conducted by Markus Stenz. Further soloists are: Aga Mikolaj (soprano), Ursula Hesse von den Steinen (mezzosoprano), Nathan Berg (bass) and Leo van Doeselaar (organ). The performance in Hamburg will be the German premiere of Glanert's Requiem.
Gerhard Siegel's new recording with pianist Gabriel Dobner has been released by PROFIL Edition Günter Hänssler in November 2015, with songs by Arnold Schoenberg, Richard Strauss and Kurt Hessenberg. Further information HERE
